Colonel Barton (バートン Bāton) is a character from the Macross 7 television series. He is the officer behind the creation of the Jamming Birds and "Project M".
History[]
Barton is the central figure behind the secret military plan "Project M" and the joint-civilian project "Jamming Birds". He is often at odds with Basara Nekki whom he finds unreliable in the utilization of songs as a weapon.
He is a rigid and by-the-book officer that served his entire life in the military, and will gladly sacrifice anything if it serves the greater good. He mentioned how he once lived aboard the SDF-1 Macross and had seen Lynn Minmay perform live during her debut.
