The CV-565 Saratoga II (サラトガ II) is variant of Uraga-class Fleet Carrier seen in game Macross VF-X2.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

The CV-565 is a modified version of the Uraga-class for special operations. Its hull have been modified to semi-trimaran style as opposed to the Uraga's catamaran hull. In addition, a dedicated elevator unit for VB-6 König Monster was placed in the middle of the ship. It also equipped with quad engine for better cruising speed, and at maximum speed, the vertical fin on the bottom of the hull can be folded.[1]

History[]

In A.D. 2050 a CV-565 Saratoga II Mother Raven was deployed as mobile carrier for the 727th Independent Squadron VF-X Ravens. The Mother Raven serves as the VF-X Ravens mothership during their combat mission against Anti-UN Forces such as the Black Rainbow and the newly formed Vindirance.[2]

If Aegis Focker chose to join the Vindirance during "Operation Mary Poppins", Mother Raven would assist the Vindirance fleet during the final attack on Macross 13, near Earth orbit and survived the battle.[3]

If Aegis Focker chose to side with UN Spacy during "Operation Mary Poppins", the Mother Raven survived the fleet battle against Vindirance Fleet and deployed on Vindirance's base on planet Endeberld's asteroid belt during Operation "On The Town".[4]
