Macross: The Museum (マクロス記念ミュージアム Makurosu kKinen Mmyūjiamu?) is a retrospective Macross art exhibit held from June 28 to October 28, 2013 at the Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum, located in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture. The exhibit was part of the Macross 30th Anniversary Project. The exhibit also had a pop-up called Gourmet Macross (グルメマクロス Gurume Makurosu). A succeeding Macross-related art exhibit, Macross: The Art 1982-2018 was held in the Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum in 2019.
The exhibition imagines what a museum would look like within the Macross world in the year A.D. 2059. The exhibit included "the legendary diva Lynn Minmay's photo album," a life-size VF-1S Valkyrie variable fighter cockpit, a display of about 30 smaller 1/60 Valkyrie replicas, and costumes and microphones of the divas from Lynn Minmay to Macross Frontier's Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee.
The exhibition ran from June 28 to October 28, 2013. Special pre-order tickets, each with one of three different A5-size character illustration art cards, cost 1,300 yen, while a normal adult ticket will cost 700 yen (US$7), a middle school ticket cost 300 yen (US$3), and an elementary school ticket cost 100 yen (US$1).
