The Super Ghost is a drone fighter seen in the Macross Δ Movie: Absolute Live!!!!!! theatrical film.
Development[]
The Super Ghost is an unmanned Effigia combat drone used by the private military company Xaos, which is equipped with specially-built Super packs to enhance its performance, hence its name. Similar to Windermere's LD-262 Lil Draken drones, the Super Ghost can also be attached to a compatible variable fighter like the VF-31AX Kairos Plus to provide additional engine thrust and firepower.
Armament[]
Like other unmanned Ghost fighters, the Super Ghost has a dorsal-mounted beam cannon as its primary weapon.
The additional parts that comprise the Super Ghost's Super packs include two thruster packs above the engines, two more thruster packs on the wingtips, and an extended nose cone. The Super parts also grants additional weapons in the form of missile bays on the thruster packs, and a secondary beam gun on the nose cone.
History[]
After the Windermere Kingdom fell into the hands of Heimdall due to the overwhelming power of the Sv-303 Vivasvat variable fighters, Xaos would use their Super Ghosts as aggressor aircraft mimicking the Vivasvat's abilities in order to train Delta Flight in how to combat them.
Later during the Liberation of Windermere, the Super Ghosts would be used in combat against Heimdall alongside Xaos' variable fighters. Hayate Immelman would later use two Super Ghosts docked to his VF-31AX Kairos Plus to enhance his fighter's speed as he made his attack run against Heimdall's Battle Astrea.
