Vermillion Flight (バーミリオン小隊, Bamirion Shotai) is a Variable Fighter unit introduced in the Super Dimension Fortress Macross television series.

History

After rescuing Misa Hayase from the doomed Mars base and getting promoted, Hikaru Ichijyo was assigned as the Vermilion leader, with Maximilian Jenius and Hayao Kakizaki as his subordinates.

The Vermillion Flight later assumed the Skull Squadron name following Roy Focker's demise and became known as such until the end of Space War I.

Notes & Trivia

• In The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?, the Vermillion Flight as it was known in the TV series did not exist. Hikaru, Max and Kakizaki were already part of the Skull Squadron under Roy Focker's command.
