Yamato 1/72

Yamato 1/72 is a toyline by Yamato Toys (now known as Arcadia). Each toy features perfect transformation and heavy use of diecast parts. The toy designs were based on resin kits of the YF-19 and YF-21 by Studio HalfEye.

This was Yamato Toys' first attempt at manufacturing toys for the Macross metaseries, with the original intention to sell them in North America through their U.S. subsidiary ToyCom. However, their plans were blocked by Harmony Gold USA, who held the international rights of Super Dimension Fortress Macross and claimed that the toy company's Macross Plus toys were subject to copyright infringement (despite the fact that Harmony Gold USA had no rights to the Macross sequels and prequels).
